There is something special about this album, for together the songs tell a very interesting story. The album is about a world where love has vanished and replaced by desires and, consequently, wars. While others believe that scientific weapons can lead to victories of the wars, two scientists sacrificed their lives to create two girls - the singers of the song - that spread love instead of hatred to the world. They believed that rather than praying to God and waiting for a miracle to save the world, love is the key to the miracle itself. In other words, miracles don’t just 「happen」 - they’re created with love. However, their belief was too idealistic for the others to accept, and thus inevitably the human civilisation is on the edge of extinction (ironically, due to humans themselves).
I think this song has a dystopian theme, which always makes me think about the possibilities of the future of humankind. To me, the message of this song is that hatred and hostility would never lead the world to a bright future; only the love for others will make the world a better place. That is true even in today’s context; antagonism still exists, taking forms as small as a racist comment to even a World War. But why not try to be nicer to each other? After all, love conquers all.
