本模板的用意是为了迴避{{Cite journal}}中所出现的全形标点符号，例如，或「」，这些符号有些可能只会出现在繁体版本，此外也是为了避免在英语文献中穿插中文字（例如「2004年」）。相关指引参见CITE。

此模板专门使用于英语文献或其他相同格式的语言。由于中文版与英文版的内部连结并不一致，请尽量不要直接套用英文版的内部连结。例如「July 4」。

栏位参数

  • quotes: 引号，输入no可使文献标题两侧不显示引号。（预设状态带有引号）。
  • author: 作者
    • last: lastname，通常是姓氏。
    • first: firstname，可用缩写。
      • 以上两个参数将会显示成last, first;。
    • authorlink 带有内部连结的作者名称
    • coauthors: 共同作者
  • date: 例如：January 1, 2006. 请不要使用内部连结。
    • year: 2006. 出版年份。
      • month: January. 出版月份（若“date”已填写、或“year”未填写则忽略）
  • title: 文献标题。此为唯一必填参数。
  • journal: 期刊名。
  • volume: 卷号。
  • issue: 期号。
  • pages: 例如45–47，此为页数。
  • publisher: 出版商。
    • location: 出版商所在地。
  • issn: ISSN编号，例如1111-2220。
  • pmid: PMID编号，也就是pubmed使用的编号，例如15128012
  • oclc: OCLC编号，例如3185581。
  • doi: doi编码，例如10.1016/j.coi.2004.08.001。
  • bibcode: 文档在天体物理数据系统的bibcode,例如, 1924MNRAS..84..308E
  • id: 文章特征码。
  • url: 线上版本连结。
    • format: “PDF”格式。不用指出 HTML 格式，因爲 HTML 是默认格式。
      指定为 'fee required' 如果访问有限制，则需指明。反之则不必要。
      指定为 'Reprint' 如果文档是个完全原创的不归属任何出版商的文档时使用。
  • accessdate: URL 最后一次查看的日期，格式爲 ISO 8601 YYYY-MM-DD。 比如， "accessdate = 2024-05-13". 不需要赋以维基链接。

当需要生成一个非Wiki内链的日期时：

  • accessmonthday and accessyear: 资料查看时的月份和天。例如： “accessmonthday = 5月10日”,配合年份“accessyear = 2006”这样的写法。 生成值为: 2006-05-10
  • laysummary: 论文总结地址，多用于科普杂志或者报纸。
    • laysource: 来源名称，例如，“女神”或者“电击”。
    • laydate: 文章发表日，当不可用时，则为引用总结的日期。
  • quote: 杂志的相关摘录信息。
