I. 目标

奥林匹克掰手腕比赛的目的是为了展示卓越的体力和非凡的智力，以及促进体育精神和公平竞争。比赛的赢家应是在比赛结束时累积分数最高的选手。

II. 比赛结构

1. 比赛在两名选手之间进行。
2. 比赛由六轮组成，掰手腕和学术问题交替进行，第一轮为掰手腕。
3. 前一轮掰手腕的赢家从数学、物理或化学中选择一个学科，作为下一轮学术问题五个中的三个的主题。
4. 每轮学术问题结束后，有10分钟的休息时间，让选手休息，为下一轮做准备。
5. 六轮比赛结束后，总分最高的选手将被宣布为冠军。
